have launched the following programmes to encourage
students to learn from experience and help one another.
Students Attachment Programme
The Student Attachment
Programme aims to equip students with relevant working
experience valued by the industry. Participants will
be attached to one of our selected partner organizations
for two months during the summer or in the last semester
of the final year. The programme provides students with
a valuable opportunity to put theories into practice.
Upon finishing the programme, the job readiness of the
students is enhanced. With the support of the industry,
attachment will take place in the following companies:

| Peer Mentorship Programme
|
| The
Programme aims to help Year-1 students to cope with
the transition to a new learning environment. Outstanding
senior students are trained to help first year students
to solve their academic and inter-personal problems
through experience sharing. The programme benefits
both mentors and mentees. It builds up their peer
network and enhances their communication and problem-solving
skills. |

With the support of the public and private sectors, the Department has numerous scholarships for our outstanding students. Most scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding academic performance and excellent leadership skills who are keen to provide services in their campus life. We encourage students to use the scholarship for continuous learning or in other meaningful ways.

| Service Learning |
| Service Learning is an experiential learning process which aims to enrich students' life and let them serve the community. Through participating in the community services, students can develop communication and life skills. Students will form group into 4-5 to provide services in non-government organization or non-profit making organization for about 15 hours per year. Throughout the program, students are supervised and supported by teaching staff to complete the service. At the end of the program, students should attain a sharing session to report their progress and share their experience gained. A certificate of Service Learning will be issued to students.

| Real Estate and Facilities Management Practice Firm |
In order to provide an opportunity for our students to practice a near-real business operation, we have established a Practice Firm called Morrison Hill Real Estate and Facilities Management Practice Firm. The employees of the Practice Firm are mainly from our students taking the course organized by REFM. With the assistance of the facilitators their teachers and business partners, the students will provides as near real practical quality real estate and facilities management services as possible.
Students are thus moved into accepting their roles as learners. They will initiate the learning process when needed. In effect, they are moving towards the process of lifelong learning. In this process, the interplay between the students, business partner and facilitators is critical to the outcome of the Practice Firm.
